Twitter for Dummies

Better yet, let me just own it...Twitter for Dummies/Me. Yes, I'm tweeting now too - a sure sign I might need to find a real job.  JUST KIDDING!!! Hubs got all excited there for a minute. One of us looking for a real job at a time....back to twitter. I just don't get it. I keep hearing everyone else that does it go on and on about how great it is and I just wonder what part of it I'm not getting.

Maybe if I had 35,589,759,239 followers hanging on my every tweet I'd be more on the twitter happy train. Definitely, if someone was paying me to tweet what I had for breakfast, lunch and dinner I'd be doing the happy dance. Last count my followers fluctuated between 7 & 15 followers...pathetic. But, I am so thankful and excited to have ya'll so don't delete me.

 Does Twitter work better if I follow them too? What is a retweet? Does anyone ever respond to your tweets or is that what it means when they follow you? And if they aren't following you then you can't even leave them a message... And what is up with the word "follow"? Kind a creeps me out. Like when the perv at the bookstore keeps following you from isle to isle....Good time to go stand and read the latest self help book for some new god awful contagious disease. That usually gets rid of that follower.

 Maybe next time I'm in the bookstore I'll look for a self help Twitter book....
